Description: Beautiful uncirculated silver coin dated 1890 from German East Africa. This is a One Rupie or Rupee silver coin. This coin, which is of low mintage, about 154,000, depicts the bust of Kaiser Wilhelm II in an armor, with a crowned eagle on top of his helmet, facing left with the words "GUILELMUS II IMPERATOR" surrounding it, on the obverse. The reverse arms with a palm tree and a lion passant at the base with the date below it and the words "DUTSCH OSTAFRIKA GESELLSCHAFT - EINE RUPIE" surrounding it along the edge. The coin is graded Mint State MS 63 by PCGS and comes in a plastic slab. Just a great looking coin measuring about 30 millimeters in diameter. It is KM-2 and weighs grams of silver. This is a rather rare coin with a low mintage of 154,000. This is the first date for this issue and as such represents a Key Date. Condition: The coin is uncirculated and is graded as Mint State MS63 by PCGS and comes in a protective slab. The coin has of all of its details very well preserved and has a beautiful lustrous appearance with nice clear fields. The coin is much better than the photos show.
